Scenes from New Mexico

October 25, 2011

Post by Kimberly

As Rachel told you yesterday, we spent the last 5 days in Albuquerque, New Mexico for our cousin’s wedding.  We absolutely had the BEST time!  This is the second destination wedding on our Mom’s side of the family (Rachel’s being the first in Aruba back in 2008….) and I can’t say enough about how fun they are!  The pressure is definitely on for the next person to get married, because NOTHING beats getting to spend 5 days sight seeing, eating, drinking, partying and hanging out with your extended family!

Because I am not the best photographer (or I’m just a little lazy…) I don’t have all too many photos from the weekend.  I promise that we will compile a little photo slide show once we have gathered and uploaded all the great pics from the different cameras used over the weekend!  But for now here are a few photos from our trip up the Sandia Peak Tramway….the longest tramway in the world!

Enjoy the views…

Cables that carried us 10,000+ ft in the air...

Christine, Mom and Me enjoying our ride down...

Some of us handled the ride better than others...

Even though we were all a little frightened to be hanging so far above the ground in a tram suspended by cables…we all agreed it was SO worth the 15 minutes of anxiety!  The views were unbelievable and I highly recommend taking a trip to Sandia Peak if you ever find yourself in Albuquerque!

Have you faced your fears recently?  Was it worth it in the end?

Absolutely gorgeous. I have traveled a lot but have never been to New Mexico. Simply beautiful.
