My Go To Beauty Bets

I’m an on-the-go kind of girl. I work in Manhattan, I write two blogs, I cook dinner every night and pack breakfast and lunch every morning. Admittedly, I’m not exactly overflowing with free time. In fact, since I blog in the early morning hours, occasionally my grooming techniques need to be fast and furious to get out the door on time in the morning. I thought it would be fun to round up my go-to beauty products that I use just about every single day and that I just couldn’t go without. These simple things keep me from looking like the undead, even when I don’t have the time to wash my hair or do a full eyeshadow look.

Bumble & Bumble does it all hairspray: I adore this hairspray. It holds my hair in place without that crunchy, hairsprayed look.

Narcisco Rodriguez For Her: This is my go-to cool weather fragrance. I just think it’s a gorgeous scent that makes me think of chunky sweaters and boots and pretty earrings. And seriously, doesn’t perfume make everything better?

OPI Suzy Says Feng Shui: This is my favorite blue nail polish. EVER. I love blue nail polish in general (and own more than a couple of bottles), but this deep blue from the Hong Kong collection is always my go-to.

ghd hair straightener: It’s an investment, but a worthy one. They don’t come cheap, but if you want easily straightened (and borderline perfect) hair, day after day, I highly recommend the ghd straightener.

MAC Modesty lipstick: I have decided this is my favorite lipstick shade ever. It looks fairly natural with just a hint of pink and I love it. In fact, I’m totally out of it right now, and need to make a stop for it asap.

MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty: It’s a quick face brightener and I love this sweet pink color. It gives instant rosy cheeks, and keeps my uber-pale skin from looking too sunken.

Kiehl’s Tinted Moisturizer with SPF: This is my favorite product in this collection. Not only does it do a fantastic job of moisturizing and providing UV protection, but it has just the slightest nude tint which makes the bags under my eyes disappear and smoothes over my blotchy skin for a seamless, even look.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Black-Brown: It’s been my go-to for years and I still love it. Though I occasionally do try out some other varieties, this mascara is inexpensive and does the job. This is one product that I never EVER leave home without wearing.

LUSH shampoo bar: You may have heard me mention my love for this previously, but I really do love it so much. It makes my hair soft and not greasy. I love.

Aquaphor: A miracle product. I use it on my super dry lips and spread it over my dry-as-anything cuticles for a hit of moisture.
